What to Expect in Elementary at Kingdom Leadership Academy

At Kingdom Leadership Academy, elementary school is the beautiful beginning of leadership and a lifelong love of learning. We are committed to building strong academic foundations while nurturing students’ hearts through a Christ-centered education.

Strong Academic Foundations

From kindergarten, students begin their journey with the Singapore Math curriculum and SPIRE Phonics program to develop confidence in math and reading. Phonics instruction continues through second grade to ensure every child becomes a strong, fluent reader.

To integrate faith with learning, we use Bob Jones University Press curriculum for English, Science, and History in all elementary grades. This approach ensures that every subject is taught through the lens of a biblical worldview, which is essential to who we are at KLA.

Biblical Worldview Training

New this school year, all elementary grades are using the Foundations Worldview curriculum, equipping students to carefully evaluate every idea they encounter and helping them understand truth through a Christian worldview.

Faith in Action

Chapel is an important part of our elementary experience. Students gather for morning chapel on Tuesdays and Thursdays, led by our fifth-grade teacher and students. There is also a special chapel service on Tuesday afternoons.

Fifth graders are trained as chapel leaders, taking an active role in worship, devotions, and prayer—developing confidence in both faith and leadership.

Hands-On, Collaborative Learning

Fourth and fifth grades often collaborate on science and history projects, such as creating mobile science museums, where students bring the curriculum to life through interactive, hands-on experiences.

At Kingdom Leadership Academy, elementary school sets the stage for leadership, biblical worldview, and excellence—preparing students to become the leaders God has called them to be.

Pre-K at Kingdom Leadership Academy

Kingdom Leadership Academy is excited to welcome its first Pre-K students for the 2025–2026 school year! We are thrilled to have Mrs. Jamie Gaylor leading this inaugural class with passion, creativity, and a heart for developing young learners. Our Pre-K curriculum is carefully designed to prepare future leaders for kindergarten by building a strong academic and spiritual foundation. Students will enjoy hands-on learning and engaging activities that nurture a love for discovery while reinforcing biblical truth.

Pre-K at KLA incorporates:

Singapore Math – introducing early number sense and problem-solving skills.

Zoo-Phonics and Orton-Gillingham – for phonemic awareness and pre-reading skills.

Handwriting Without Tears – to develop proper handwriting habits.

Bob Jones University Press – for Bible, science, and history, taught through a biblical worldview.

At Kingdom Leadership Academy, we believe even our youngest students can begin their journey of leadership, faith, and excellence, all in a loving, Christ-centered environment.
