Hands on activities and engaged learning are fundamental to the understanding mathematics. KLA uses the Singapore math program, which builds the students understanding from a  concrete model, through a pictorial representation, to the abstract number sentence. Engaged learning happens when students are having fun. 

In Bible, the emphasis is on sowing the Word in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, to bring students into a personal relationship with Jesus. The focus of our weekly chapel is on spiritual disciplines including worship, forgiveness and thankfulness. Our goal is for the students to know their identity in Christ, how to hear His voice and how to flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Morning chapel is an important part of each day. Students lead praise and worship, often through their own written songs. Prayer and other leadership roles are cultivated during this time, which allow students to build self-confidence and ownership for the atmosphere of the school.

Creativity knows no bounds in our art classes. Students explore diverse art forms, unleash their creativity, and develop an understanding of aesthetics, fostering artistic expression and innovation.

A unique approach has been  developed for science, history and elective classes. Teachers instruct in their field of expertise and passion and students rotate to them. Science is a hands-on, standards-based, investigation of the world that God created. History instruction is centered around The Story of the World and regularly incorporates hands on projects. Field trips play an important part in the learning process. 

Elective programs in the arts, combined with a very unique four-day school week, give students multiple opportunities to discover gifts and talents they may have not considered. We challenge students to take ownership of these pursuits and apply them outside of class.

A recent addition to high school course offerings is a yearlong study in Entrepreneurship. This course combines study of economic principles with practical lectures by leading businessmen and women and many real-life applications to equip students to be successful in future endeavors.

Promoting physical health and well-being, our physical education program emphasizes the importance of an active lifestyle, teamwork, and sportsmanship, nurturing holistic development in our students.
