Integrating a Biblical Worldview and Creativity in the Classroom

Angela Reed

At KLA, we’re all about equipping future leaders through a biblical worldview. During the month of February, our students had the opportunity to hear from guest speakers, Mrs. Logan and Mr. Wood, as they explored Black History through the lens of scripture. Our students learned about the heartaches and victories of African American historical figures. What an incredible experience to see history come alive through the lens of the Word of God and connect history with God’s greater plan.

Stepping into March, our elementary students are pursuing academic excellence and creativity in the classroom. The second and third grade team started a project on the solar system with each student researching a different planet. Not only are the students' writing reports, but they’re also creating paper-mâché planets. By the end of March, these colorful planets will be hung from the ceiling, turning the classroom into a miniature galaxy and reminding us of the beauty of God’s design.

On March 27, one of the most anticipated events is taking place at KLA- our Tasty Book & Tea! Students from kindergarten up to our senior class will showcase their creativity by designing cakes inspired by the books they’ve read. We’d love for you to join us, see the edible masterpieces, and – of course- enjoy a bite or two of cake!

We can’t wait to see you there! 📚🍰✨
